Accelya was a three storey project based out in Mumbai. The Architects had put up very impressive but challenging abstract designs for the modular glass fit outs. The challanges figured out in this project were the curvature of the sections, and the short timeline for the execution. Aluminium sections too were to be bent at the desired angles, and also had to be installed within the given time line.
BACKGROUND
Curved and slant glass partition was a challenging task for us to execute as this was to be executed within the specified timeline. Here the Kubik R&D team worked closely with the Design Team for better understanding of the curved and inclined partition areas. All this was done in a very short period of time.
ALTERNATIVES
Accelya is a classic case of designing challenges, where there are no alternative options for bending the aluminium sections. Bending an aluminium section is a very skilled job. Kubik did this job at its Malaysian plant. No local Fabricators were approached for this job.
SOLUTION
Ultraline 45 is a wide section used for glass partition systems. Extensive care was taken for installing this job for this site. Trained installers were deployed at Accelya, to take proper measurements for the ‘farma’ of the curved and tilted / inclined glass partition.
